Body of the missing Wellington 15-year-old Olivia Rutherford
was recovered from Wellington Harbour this morning
The body was retrieved from Wellington Harbour about 11.30am and was formally identified by her family this afternoon.
New Zealand has the highest male and female youth (15-24 years) suicide rate within the 13 OECD countries, despite the latest Ministry of Health [doctored] figures.
An online survey of 500 teens, aged 15-18, carried out in January, revealed that the overwhelming majority of them feared the future.
- 43% lacked confidence to achieve the things they wanted to in life.
- 39% were concerned about ever being able to get a good job.
- 38% did not feel connected to their local community.
- 48% worried about disappointing friends and letting parents down.
- 46% believed they would one day live in another country.
- 46% wished they had more confidence to make new friends.
- 18% knew peers who were subjected to violence in the home on a daily or weekly basis. [Source: Baseline Consultancy]
Our children aren’t a priority in this country. The most important issue is how the earthly can be manipulated to boost the net worth of a few dozen people whose assets are worth more than a third of New Zealand GDP.
The system is not geared to ensuring future security for our kids; it’s there to guarantee the status quo would never change!

Bullying’ link to child suicide rate, charity suggests

“A bullying prevention charity has called for more official data on child suicide and research into its causes.
“Beatbullying found that up to 44% of suicides among 10- to 14-year-olds may be bullying-related.
“The charity said 26 out of the 59 cases reported in the national media were linked to intimidating behaviour.
“Its report was published to mark the second anniversary of the death of 13-year-old Sam Leeson.
“Beatbullying said the Office of National Statistics had recorded 176 cases of suicides of 10- to 14-year-olds between 2000 and 2008 in England, Scotland and Wales.
“It then searched national press reports on the issue and said at least 14% (26 of 176) were clearly linked by the press to bullying.
“However, the press covered only 59 cases and the charity thinks up to 78 of the total could have been related to bullying.

I am trying to say that if you look at the clock times mentioned on your blog that you have false information here.or shinanagins but I dont understand why some people have these personal blogs open to the globe and am not interested in discussion with same.

I am asking you once again to remove this article off your personal blog page.I dont wish to have any involvement or association with it nor to have it a round my daughter Olivia.[in a manner of speaking].on the entries under Olivia’s name on google inteternet nor the other two personal blogs viz robins nest or polly gillespie’s personal blog ditto . which
maybe improved their personal blog ratings for five minutes or fan following for five minutes but it would be good and also respectful of a dead person to have them removed also .

Once again I am asking you and also the other site robins nest and also polly gillespie to remove your personal blogs from these entries on google iternet which were done at the time of my daughters disappearance .To my way of thinking ,when people like bloggers or the similar violate a dead person on internet it is much the same as vandalism at the grave site and while it may help the personal bloggers ratings or fan following it is selfish uncaring obnoxious dismissive of a dead persons rights and often false and distasteful. As a result of my last message you emailed me to say you would send on the replies to me but it said it had a no reply address.

I don’t know whether you are a pakeha[I dont even like that word] masquerading as a racist maori or a rascist kid masquerading as an adult.Either way yes there was much concern at the time about the handling of the police investigation initially led by a maori detective and who later as well came under scrutiny for alleged fraud and much concern at the time because of his handling of Olivas dissapearance or accident or possible foul play at her expense. There was some concern about rascist violence in attitude and jealousy or hatred by one or two of the girls who were maori at the school which for legal and many reasons.I can’t go into here but nothing will bring Olivia back and that girl has to live with it and probably also some police scrutiny for the rest of her life. and into the next ..Oliva was described by a stalwart parent of the school as having been too gentle for this school.Your assumption of suicide remains just that and time [ and it may take seventy years] will maybe provide more light on what happened to Olivia in the eleventh hour and for my part I am wanting to remember and preserve our memories of when she was alive The principal said she had been bullied by just a few kids not the whole school.This comment relates I imagine to the stress that led to her taking the day off school.You are just one person either pretending to be a maori or are one maori but not the whole race of maoris
