Killed at home, killed in river (!), killed on road… deaths everywhere

Operation Archer [and NO Sh*t!] – Upper Hutt Homicide Investigation

Wellington District Police said they have commenced a homicide investigation into the murder of a 30-year-old woman.

Police responded just after midnight to a disturbance at a residential address on  on Saturday 10 December.

The woman, who was believed to be living at a house on Ward Street, Trentham, had been assaulted with a weapon (not a firearm) and was found deceased at the address.

[She wasn’t actually murdered!? She was assaulted with a weapon and then found dead. Moderator]

Police are seeking three or four males who were believed to be present at the address at the time of the victim being assaulted.

Attempted abduction of a 2-year-old girl  in Hamilton

Hamilton [NZ’s other child-sex capital] Police are seeking witnesses to an attempted abduction of a child outside a preschool Friday evening.

At around 5.50pm, was getting dropped off at a preschool on Peachgrove Road by her father.

As her father was getting his other child out of the car, a male walking past has called the girl over, grabbed her by the arm, and attempted to walk off with her.

The father has yelled out to the man, who has then walked off along Peachgrove Road towards Te Aroha Street.

The man is described as Caucasian, aged around 50, of medium build and around 177cm tall. He was wearing a blue suit jacket, and possibly beige-coloured pants. He is described as tidily dressed but had possibly been sleeping rough.

Fatal crash closes SH1 in Northland

Emergency services were at the scene of a fatal crash near Brynderwyn in Northland early this afternoon.

The crash happened on State Highway 1 north of the Brynderwyn Hill about midday, police said.

The road was closed and diversions put in place.

We know at least SEVEN (7)  people were killed on NewZ errant roads in the 24-hour period  starting Saturday morning. How did the advertising media report that?

First, the number of dead were doctored down from 7 to 4.
Second, the 24-hour period was stretched to cover “this weekend.”

Key Point

By trivializing road deaths, they are blamed on the ‘worthless’ drivers who were ‘justly’ killed, instead of the fatal roads and defective vehicles that need major overhaul and proper monitoring. New Zealand roads are among the deadliest in the world. Furthermore, up to 95 percent of all vehicles in New Zealand are defective and should have not be allowed on the roads.

Young man stabbed in central Wellington attack

A 19-year-old man received severe facial wounds when he was attacked by a group of men after leaving a nightclub in central Wellington early this morning, police said.

The man, who was by himself, was chased a short distance before being attacked and stabbed in the face with a sharp object, probably a bottle. The attack appeared to have been unprovoked.

The victim walked some distance from the attack, and police found him shortly after 2am on Jervois Quay near Wellington’s waterfront.

The victim was described as a Polynesian man wearing a blue and white checked shirt, or white T-shirt, brown pants and brown boots. —NZPA
