The driver of the car which was struck by a van travelling west-bound along Salisbury St, Christchurch last weekend, has died. He was 44 year old Michael James Burnby, said Canterbury Police.
The front seat passenger in the car, Tony Tucker, the seventh victim, remains in a critical condition in Christchurch Hospital ICU.
