Another German national killed on NZ roads

Victim of fatal motorbike collision in Waikato was a German national

Daniel Aretz, 37, a German national, was killed when his motorbike collided with a motorcyclist in a group travelling in the opposite direction in Waikato on Saturday, police said.

The fatal collision occurred on Makomako Rd between Kawhia and Raglan at about 3.25pm.

Mr Aretz was the 11th motorcyclist to be killed in Waikato so far this year, said Acting Senior Sergeant Steve Ambler.

The man killed in a motor vehicle crash on the Waikato Stream Bridge, Waiouru, on Tuesday (5 March 2013) was 29-year-old Ahmad Jawid Aman, 29, from Afghanistan, police said.

Convicted refugee killed in crash

A man killed in a Waikato car crash on 29 August 2007, was a convicted kidnapper and rapist Hasan Ahmed Shaqlane, 35.

The Somalian refugee, was sentenced to eight years jail for the rape and kidnap of a Hamilton woman. He was killed in a car crash on SH3 2km from Kihikihi, near Te Awamutu.

Victim raped by three men while being driven in a van around central Christchurch

Police are seeking information on the occupants of a white van with dark tinted windows who raped a woman on the night of Friday the 9th of October 2015, police said.

“What is known is that the victim was driven around the central city and sexually assaulted by the three males in the van. The victim was able to get out of the van at about 10.30 – 10.45pm on the corner of Armagh Street and Fitzgerald Avenue.”

Second rape in Christchurch

Christchurch Police say they have located the red Holden Commodore that was involved in another “sexual attack” on Friday the 9th of October 2015. “At this stage Police have no further comment to make about this case,” thy said.
