Unexplained death in Hamilton not suspicious: police

“Police are not looking for anyone in relation to the incident and the death is not being treated as suspicious, said Waikato CIB Senior Sergeant Ross Patterson.”

The victim’s identity has not been released, but Patterson said it was a man in his 20s.

Latest roadkills

A teenager fatally injured in a car crash early this morning has been named as Trent Michael O’Connell, 17.

He was killed after the car he was a passenger in crossed the centre line and collided with a truck on S/H 7, Omoto Valley Rd, near Greymouth, about 12.30am, police said.

The other two occupants, one of them aged 25, were taken to Greymouth Hospital with unspecified injuries. http://www.police.govt.nz/news/updates/39137

Woman killed in motorcycle crash in Henderson

Waitemata Police has confirmed that a woman was killed in a motorcycle crash on Candida Road, Henderson this afternoon.

The woman, who was a pillion passanger on the motorbike, was transported to Auckland hospital by ambulance after the crash but died later in hospital. The driver was uninjured. http://www.police.govt.nz/news/release/update-woman-dies-motorcycle-crash-henderson

Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Kawhia

One person has died and another has moderate injuries after two motorcycles collided on Makomako Road near Kawhia, Waikato around 3pm today, police said.
It is believed that the two motorcycles were part of a group of five bikes riding together.
