Name release in fatal Raupunga crash
The woman who died in a fatal crash on State Highway 2 at Raupunga, in the early hours on Thursday 3 November, 2016 was 20-year-old Takumanawa Kara. Her car came off the road about 1km out of Raupunga, towards Wairoa, police claims.

Two women killed in two separate Hawke’s Bay crashes
The first crash occurred at 11.30pm Wednesday after a vehicle crashed at the Napier end of State Highway 5. Name release in fatal Otahuhu crash
At around 7pm on Monday, a white Toyota Corolla sedan has been driving towards Otahuhu on Mangere Road when it has crashed into the back of a Toyota Yaris hatchback. Desmond Wigg, the driver of the Toyota Yaris, was killed instantly.

Name release following fatal crash in Pakuranga, Counties Manukau   Police are seeking information from members of the public who may have witnessed a fatal crash involving a motorcycle and a taxi in Pakuranga on Tuesday 2 November 2016.

Man found dead following Invercargill fire
A man has been found dead following a fire at an Invercargill residential property overnight. Emergency services responded to a fire at a block of five flats in Tramway Road shortly after 1am. The deceased man was subsequently located in one of the flats.

Te Puke Highway has reopened following a fatal crash at 2.30 this afternoon [Friday, 28 October 2016.] Three vehicles were involved in the crash, and the driver of one of the vehicles – an 18 year old man – was killed at the scene. UNIDENTIFIED driver burns to death after fiery head-on collision in Opotiki
Fatal collision in Waiotahi Beach Opotiki on State Highway 2, Waiotahi – Thursday, 3 November 2016 – 11.50pm  Two vehicles were involved in a fatal crash near the Pipi Beds on Waiotahi Beach Road in Opotiki, Bay of Plenty [of Deaths,] late last night.

As a result of the head on collision, one vehicle has caught on fire. The driver of that vehicle, who was unable to extract themselves from the vehicle, was burnt to death.
